Remedy To Reverse Graying of Hair

ByTom Simeo

The remedy to reverse the graying of hair is to replenish it with Catalese enzyme along with herbal additives. These ingredients beat back the graying effect of hydrogen peroxide, beginning to bring back the normal color of the hair in 8 to 12 weeks.

Graying hair does not necessarily mean that one is aging. More than likely you've seen people, young and old alike, who are watching their hair turn gray with frustration. They try a slew of methods to stem the graying, just to see them flounder.

In fact, these methods were bound to fail as they did not take into account the main cause of graying. Our body produces hydrogen peroxide, a bleaching agent that makes our hair gray. However, the body works up the catalase enzyme as well that breaks up hydrogen peroxide, thus preventing its build up. As we grow older, the amount of catalase enzyme produced by our body decreases. This results in hydrogen peroxide gaining the upper hand, leading to graying hair.

Most of us fail to take into account the real reason behind the graying and keep on using superficial methods to control the graying process. The most popular of these methods is the coloring of hair, either using the chemical dyes or the dyes based on natural products such as henna. However, these products just color our hair for a limited time and after that, we need to color it again. And excessive use of chemical dyes can harm our hair instead of doing any good, so we have to take care of that as well.

To prevent graying of hair, you need to maintain a healthy diet that stimulates the production of catalase enzyme in the body. Consumption of oranges, tomatoes, cooked cabbage and broccoli, sweet red peppers, strawberries, grapefruit, raspberries, avocados, almonds, walnuts, peanuts, pineapple etc. helps to increase the level of catalase in the body. However, our hectic modern lifestyle just doesn't permit people to be ever conscious of their food intake. Their enthusiasm for consuming a hair friendly diet tends to last for a few days only and then they return to their usual fast food diet.

The solution is to take supplements that replenish the body with catalase along with the herbal additives. These ingredients collectively beat back the graying effect of hydrogen peroxide and bring back the normal color to the hair. Although the change is not overnight, it invariably comes if the pills are taken for a few weeks unhindered. Usually, it takes anywhere between the eighth to the twelfth week to see the roots of your hair turning back from gray to the original hair color. However, if the body produces very little catalese, it might take even longer.

The remedy to the problem is to get the best vitamins for gray hair. Super concentrated catalase pills enriched with additives are available to reverse the graying of hair. People seeing their hair turn gray can take these supplements to turn back to normalcy. To buy these pills, they can look online for the providers that sell these pills. Reputable companies will put up all details about their products along with the complete chart of ingredients, enabling you to ascertain what you need to feed your body with.

Making Use of Acupuncture for Treating Hair Loss

Baldness is a quite typical issue among women and men. It is actually considered a natural part of the aging process, and many adults begin experiencing receding hair line and/or thinning hair sometime after the age of 40. However, hair loss can be caused by other conditions also and they don't have anything to do with age whatsoever. Hair loss doesn't need to start after 40. Some people experience hair loss early on and the causes can include the following: genetic predisposition, disease, poor diet, environmental exposure, prescription medications, blood circulation problems, and poor health overall.

There are many effective treatments for baldness, but the one that's growing to be very popular nowadays is acupuncture. This old oriental medicinal practice works on the principle of employing needles to energize certain points in the body. It has been employed, with widely reported success, for the treatment of just about any imaginable medical condition throughout history. However, acupuncture and similar holistic treatments are often frowned upon by folks who practice modern, technology-based medicine. Having said that, lately, continuing studies have been uncovering a medicinal basis for many traditional practices. Acupuncture considerably increases blood circulation, along with stimulating particular nerves which may add benefits including pain reduction and growth stimulation.

Acupuncture appears to be an effective way to treat hair loss mainly because of its stimulation effect on the circulatory system. While hair loss has numerous causes, it is mostly brought on by poor blood circulation in the scalp. Compared to the other parts of the body, the head area (scalp included) receives less blood circulation. It is through the blood stream that oxygen and nutrients are moved to the different parts of the body. As the scalp has very little blood flow, just a small amount of the nutrients you eat get to the scalp. The main or sole cause of hair loss may be a condition that has an effect on your circulatory system. If the blood flow in the scalp is further lessened, your body doesn't have any more way to support the growth of new hair and even keep the present hair and follicles healthy.

However, even if your baldness isn't caused by a problem in the circulatory system, it's still a good idea to increase the circulation in the scalp. It is actually one of the quickest ways to slow down or reverse hair loss, because it provides your scalp with more of everything it needs to restore health and overcome any adverse conditions. In case you are taking supplements or following a special diet, acupuncture can multiply the benefits with improved blood circulation, carrying more of those compounds and nutrients to your scalp.

Many acupuncturists nowadays use various tools, such as the plum blossom hammer and the seven-pointed star. Using these tools, special fine needles are either placed in or pressed against the scalp at specific trigger spots. You may be wincing at the description of this procedure. It does seem painful, which explains why many people don't even want to try it. Having said that, acupuncture for hair loss is safe and has very minimal pain when it is performed by an experienced acupuncturist.

The individual's comfort and the treatment's success are hinged on the skill of the acupuncturist. The specific areas where the acupuncture needles are placed or pressed against serve as the triggers for stimulating the nerve and circulatory system. However, understand that the sensitivity in these points is very low. When you are under the hands of a skilled acupuncturist, you're likely to not even feel the needles in the least. What you will feel, though, is the joy of seeing your hair grow thick and healthy once again!

Herbal Cure For Hair Loss In Men And Women

Hair loss can be a very worrying thing for any person. It normally starts when you realize standing in front of the mirror that you have slightly less than usual hair on your head. Over a period of time it becomes clear that you are actually losing your hair and the time has come to take some immediate actions because if it is left unattended you will go bald in no time and mind you there is a very small majority of people who are not in love with their hair. If you are reading this article then probably you are suffering from hair loss and looking for remedial measures to reverse this condition. So in this article we are going to have a look at some of the ways through which hair loss can be controlled and find out some herbal remedies which can trigger growth of new hair.

What Causes Hair Loss?

There are a number of reasons which can contribute to loss of hair. Some of the primary ones include stress, side effect of some medications, aging and in some cases it is genetic in nature. In medical terms loss of hair is caused due to excess DHT in the body which gets deposited in the hair follicles and blocks supply of vital nutrients thereby making hair roots weak and ultimately hair starts to fall off.

Remedial Measures

There are a number of measures which can be taken to combat hair fall. Let us lay out some of the simplest changes you can adopt in your daily life to keep your hair healthy and prevent them from falling off

1. Shampoo

Most of the times we do not pay any attention as to which shampoo we are using to cleanse our hair. Mostly the available shampoos in the market contain chemicals which have an adverse effect on the health of hair over a period of time. These chemicals make hair thinner and contribute greatly to hair loss. It is recommended to use shampoo only two or three times in week and preference should be given to natural herbal shampoos as they are free from any chemicals.

2. Massaging

One can massage the scalp with almond or coconut oil or any other oil you prefer. It makes the hair stronger by providing vital nutrients and improved circulation of blood.

3. Stay Away From Stress

People who are always stressed out are more vulnerable to hair fall hence taking appropriate sleep, indulging in fun activities once in a while and eating right type of food can help in maintaining your overall health.

How to Have New Hair in 6 Weeks

ByJulian Phillips

If you want new hair, don't just sit around and complain. Take action. There are a number of new treatments available that can help you grow new hair in a matter of weeks. Here's a quick 6 week program to help you grow new hair:

Week #1: Begin taking biotin and other hair vitamins immediately. Research suggests that the top vitamins for new hair are Biotin, Folic Acid, Vitamin B-6, Zinc Oxide and Pantothenic Acid. In otherwise healthy individuals, nutritional factors appear to play a role in people with persistent increased hair shedding. The role of the essential amino acid, l-lysine in new hair also appears to be important. Double-blind data confirm the findings of one study in women with increased hair shedding, where a significant proportion responded to l-lysine and iron supplements. Bottom line: Take a good general "hair and nail" vitamin supplement such as those available at Costco and many other discount pharmacies.

Week #2: Stop using shampoos with sulfates! Chemical additives in shampoos known as sulfates (sodium laureth sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate) are what cause the lather most people expect when they use shampoos. Sodium Lareth Sulfate (SLS) is a powerful de-greaser that is also used to clean garage floors and car engines. Unfortunately, these chemicals tend to dry out your hair, strip it of its color and, worst of all, may damage delicate hair follicles in people with a genetic predisposition to new hair. The evidence suggests that sulfates irritate the skin and should only be used sparingly and in small concentrations. The problem is, most people in developed countries wash their hair often and use copious amounts of shampoo. What sucks is that virtually 98% of all commercial shampoos use sulfates. The exception are shampoos designed specifically for people who have their hair dyed. Many brands imply that they are sulfate-free but are not. Throw all sulfate shampoos and conditioners in the garbage.

Week #3: Use a good anti-DHT topical agent for new hair. DHT, or dihydrotestosterone, is believed by most experts to be one of the principal causes of new hair. More precisely, doctors people that people who suffer new hair may have a genetic hyper-sensitivity (a kind of allergy) to DHT that causes the miniaturization of hair follicles that leads, eventually, to new hair. One strategy for dealing with this problem (at least in men) is the use of an oral medicine, finasteride, that limits DHT throughout your entire system. However, this approach has drawbacks because there is some evidence that some men can experience negative side effects fromfinasteride, such as impotence. Another approach, therefore, is to use anti-DHT topical agents directly on the scalp... and this has shown some success.

Week #4: Begin using a laser for new hair. Low level laser therapy (LLLT) is among the most exciting new options in the treatment of new hair. European studies have shown that LLLT stops new hair in 85% of cases and stimulates new hair in 55% of cases. As a result, in 2007 the FDA approves the use of LLLT as a treatment for new hair. A 2009 study one common laser treatment found significant improvements in overall hair regrowth were demonstrated in terms of patients' subjective assessment after 26 weeks of using the product.

Week #5: Test Minoxidil as a treatment for new hair. Minoxidil is one of only three treatments approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for new hair. The other two are finasteride and low level laser therapy. However, the results for Minoxidil are mixed. A 2004 study of 984 men suffering from new hair found that 64% saw a reduction in the area of new hair while 37% saw little or no change. The researchers concluded that 5% minoxodil was very effective in 16% of the men studied, effective in 48%, moderately effective in 20% and ineffective in 15%. We recommend that people consider combining the best anti-DHT compounds with a 5% Minoxidil solution.

Week #6: Try out new experimental growth factor treatments for new hair. Among the experimental, as-yet-unproven products you can try out are the new anti-stress hormone Astressin-B and a variety of growth factor serums, derived from human fibroblast conditioned media (HFCM). These are highly experimental products that may not work at all. However, there is growing research that growth factors, derived from stem cells, may be the key to "reprogramming" hair follicles and turning them back "on."

Julian Phillips has been researching and writing about innovative new approaches to treating hair loss, including stem cell and nano technologies, since 1996. He writes regularly for http://stemcellbaldnesscures.com.

Benefit of Laser Hair Transplant

Hair transplant, a surgical procedure which is intended to re-establish hair which has been lost, has surged in popularity in recent times. This process is viewed as the only authentic method of curing baldness. From time to time, the procedure is also called hair replacement surgery and laser hair transplant and should be undertaken only by a reputable, qualified surgeon.

The loss of hair is a concern to thousands of females and males all across the globe. Throughout the years, the available technology for laser restoration technique has significantly increased. One of the previous methods of hair restoration was commonly referred to as the follicles. The technique of restoration has come a really long way since the days of when the follicles were previously utilized and it currently more commonly referred to as microsurgery.

Laser air transplant surgery entails the removal of tissue from the side or back of the head. In these areas, the hair is not typically prone to loss of hair. A section of the head is dissected into small grafts and individual hair follicles. Once prepared, these grafts are placed into the thinning or balding areas on the head. Grafts contain single hair follicles which are placed with precision all over the head in order to create a hairline and provide the head with an appearance that is totally natural.

Laser surgery is a method of treating bald spots or thinning hair. Lasers have been utilized in hair transplantation ever since 1992, even though more advanced alternatives are now available for transplantation of hair. Transplantation is achieved by utilizing the laser as a means of creating extremely tiny holes to insert hair follicle groupings. Despite the fact that there are a number of benefits to getting this procedure, the potential exists that the laser could result in damage to your scalp. However, this technology has significantly improved and has resulted into this becoming a very uncommon occurrence.

Longevity

All of the hair transplant procedures result in the creation of a full head of hair. By harvesting hair follicles from a section in the back or side of the head that, more often than not, is unaffected by the loss of hair and placing them into sections where hair has been lost, this creates a new source of hair growth. Lasers enable the hair to be transplanted into small groupings in order to create a look that is more natural.

7 Questions And Answers About Hair Loss

ByMichael Sean Scott

Hair loss affects both men and women. The more you know about this condition, the better your chances of preventing its occurrence.

What causes hair loss?

Hair loss or balding can be due to a lot of causes. It can be because of hormonal problems, physical and emotional stress, certain medications, scalp disorders, iron deficiency, aging, and genetics. The most common cause is due to male pattern baldness. This happens when testosterone is converted to DHT by the enzyme 5 alpha reductase. This results in minitiaruziation of the follicles and progressive thinning of the hair. Sometimes the follicle stops producing hair completely, leading to baldness.

Can stress influence hair growth?

Both physical and emotional stress can lead to temporary balding. This is called telogen effluvium wherein the follicles are forced to enter the resting phase. The a lot of strands then fall out a couple of months later. However, in about six to nine months, new growth.

Is it true that when a man grows his hair long it will cause baldness later on?

This is not true. Balding due to pattern baldness is generally governed by heredity. Having a long or short hairstyle in your younger years will not have an effect on the degree of balding later in life.

When I wash or brush my hair, I notice that I lose around 50 strands. What causes this?

Hair normally goes through three phases which are the growth phase, transitional phase, and the resting phase. Signals are sent out by the body regarding the cycle. When the cycle is complete, the strand are shed to make way for new growth of hair on the follicle. It is normal to lose 50 to 100 strands per day because of this shedding and this accounts for the strands you see when you shower or comb.

Will brushing 100 times a day grow hair?

While brushing the hair helps distribute oil from the scalp to the ends of the hair, going overboard can do more harm than good. Brushing the hair 100 times can damage the outer layer of the hair strand or can harm the follicles.

Will washing hair under cold water cure baldness?

Running cold water over the head can improve circulation but will not cure baldness or hair loss.

Is it normal to lose some hair from the early 30s?

Yes, it is normal when you get older. Our locks becomes finer with age and the follicles on the scalp will progressively reduce.

If the cause is reversible, it is possible to stop hair loss. There are also hair loss treatments that can control hair loss and regrow hair.

The Best Hairstyles for Thinning Hair

While you might assume that thinning locks are restricted only to men, the truth is that many women also suffer from this genetic predisposition. This article guides you through what we believe are the best cuts to hide thinning areas and to allow a modern, healthy look!

For Men

For men whose locks are growing finer on the top, try a short, tapered cut. This will visually minimize any loss that you may be having. This is reminiscent of a buzz cut, but not as short. Hey, if it worked for Matt Lauer on NBC's The Today Show, it will work for you!
If you are balding primarily at the back of the head, slick back your locks like a 1920's gangster. Not only does this look very slick but it also projects a professional image. The goal is to not entirely hide balding, but to use a style that looks professional and helps cover thin spots.
A popular and somewhat trendy hairstyle for men is the "faux hawk" or messy look. This is a great look for anyone that has advanced thinning at the temples. You can achieve this look by cutting the sides very short with them gradually getting longer and coming to a crest at the crown of your head. For Women

For women who want , you need to go for a short look. A shorter cut will not weigh your locks down, and will put some bounce and fullness back into your image. Not only does a short cut make your locks look fuller, but it will allow strands to strengthen without the stress and weight of added length.
Another great cut for super fine hair is the bob. The bob is a cut that is not layered and has blunt ends that fall at your jaw line. This will give the illusion of more fullness and thickness. You can also switch up this look with curls or angular bangs to give it a more modern feel.
One of best styles for women with thinning hair is curls. Curly locks make it harder to see your scalp, therefore giving you full and bouncy look while providing a bit coverage. Do not go longer with this cut and limit the length to your shoulders. Cut shorter layers at the top and increase them in length and blunt the ends. Use a curling iron to put the coils in and you are done!

Whether you are a man or a woman, these are . You do not have to be embarrassed by your ultra fine tresses any more, but rather modify your look to accommodate your locks and give the appearance of a thicker and lush head of hair.

Hair Replacement: The Cost Of Hair Systems

2500. Logic may tell you that hair at lower prices must be of lesser quality. However, this is not necessarily the case. A search through web forums, scam reporting sites, and even some major retailers will lead you to the surprising conclusion that the price you pay does not necessarily affect the quality of the system. In general, all hair systems are handmade overseas. Because they are all produced by similar means and in only a few places, the basic cost per unit is typically the same. The biggest difference in the customer's price is overhead costs such as paying for TV commercials or maintaining a large staff.

One place that few men and women dealing with hair loss tend to overlook as they search for hair replacement solutions is the internet. Although it may at first seem an unlikely place to look, an online hair replacement company can offer the lowest prices. Internet companies can cut out huge overhead costs, and with their innovative hair system design concepts they can create custom hairpieces without ever seeing you -- you don't even need to leave your house.

Hair systems can be a quick and easy solution to hair loss, and many seeking hair replacement solutions find that they are perfect for their lifestyles. In addition to the hair systems themselves, other costs you will encounter along the way include adhesives or tapes, special shampoos and conditioners, special brushes, styling gel and any number of other products that are specially designed for use. Since these products are designed for "hair" with special needs, they are more expensive than some shampoos that you might buy at your local supermarket, but are priced similar to the high-end shampoos you would buy at a hair salon. So depending on the type of shampoo you already buy, you may not be affected by their price.

Adhesives, gels, and other styling and maintenance costs will add cost to your hair system. Adhesives in glue form are more expensive than the tape products. Whether you get your hair system online or at a salon or club, you will incur these fees.

Once you have found a credible online supplier for your hair system, the next task is to locate a trained hair replacement stylist. The hair will need to be cut and blended to sit neatly on your own naturally growing hair. A good hair replacement stylist will be able to blend your system without leaving any lines or obvious joins. For help with this check out my other article titled, 'Finding a good hair replacement stylist'.

Hair Re-Growth Product Vs Hair Transplant

When it comes to hair restoration, we are set with various options to help remedy this concern. But there are two hair loss measures that most hair loss victims deliberate on, and that is hair re-growth products and hair transplant. So let me help you sort through the benefits and advantages that these two have.

For those who don't want to undergo those invasive procedures, a hair re-growth product would be a fitting option. They can come in the form of pills, medicated shampoos or creams. They are easier to obtain and maintain, and they have proven to be effective means.

Hair loss medications have given effective treatments, although results may take a few months. The same goes for shampoos and creams. That is why you have to religiously keep this up as a daily regimen to get desired results.

However you must be aware that there are accompanying side effects, especially with medications. And ironically enough one of those is hair loss. That is why you have to work closely with your doctor to ensure that you are getting the benefits.

But if you want to minimize side effects, there are natural hair re-growth products that you can use instead. There are products that have organic components which can be safer especially for long-term use.

Okay, so looking at the other side of the fence is the more aggressive approach to hair restoration, and that is hair transplantation. This is a surgical procedure in which it takes a strip of hair at the back of the scalp and individually remove them in order to transplant these hair grafts into the donor area, which is usually at the front of the scalp.

Hair transplant is considered by many to be the best option when it comes to restoring your hair because it provides results that are natural looking. Through the advancements in the approach in hair transplant procedures, it is already possible to give hair loss victims that permanent improvement.

Hair transplant surgeons know how to arrange and space the hair grafts strategically at a direction similar to those surrounding hairs in order to come up with excellent results. They also use high-powered microscopes in order to perform the meticulous process of hair extraction more carefully.

And today with the introduction of the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) better aesthetic results can be made possible. Compared to the traditional strip method which we have mentioned earlier, FUE doesn't have that visible linear scar at the back of the head, instead they provide tiny circular marks that can be easily concealed. With that, you can easily conceal the fact that you had some hair issues at all!

However, the downside to hair transplant is that not everyone can afford it. Of course a procedure in this nature can come a little pricey because it takes excellent expertise and time to come up with good results.

A successful hair transplant also needs a board certified, experienced and highly skilled surgeon. That is why you should be very careful in choosing whom to trust your hair with. Remember, you don't have a luxury of hair donors, so you have to make the most out of your resources. So choose the best surgeon who can effectively restore that full head of hair at one time.

If you are searching for hair transplant clinic in Singapore, the Hair and Laser Clinic headed by Dr Tyng Tan, is the place you can trust. Through the careful execution of our board certified surgeon, we can give you a hair restoration procedure that is both safe and effective. For more information, you can visit the clinic at Orchard District, Singapore.

Methods of Chest Hair Removal

ByManisha Kumar

Times have definitely changed, and in line with the changes in technology and our lifestyle is the evolution of how men and women view their partners. In fact, there is a great disparity between how men are seen in the society as a whole. As an example, masculinity is seen in a very different way. For one, women prefer their man well groomed and this means that they are clean shaven. Even men themselves view grooming as being hairless. For this reason, men go through the excruciating procedure of chest hair removal.

There are simple ways of getting rid of unwanted hair. From pain free to excruciating methods, there are ways of chest hair removal.

We start off with the cheapest and virtually painless method, which is shaving. Indeed, shaving is the best way to go for men who would rather not feel anything except a gliding and slightly tingling sensation. However, the worse part about shaving is that it only addresses cutting the hair without disrupting the follicles which are responsible for hair growth. Because of this, men who shave their chest hair and other unwanted hair, shave on a regular basis.

Another method, which may slightly cost people who want their hair removed, is through creams and products that promise removal of hair. Unlike shaving, creams remove follicles, but not always. At times, creams only address hair from the surface and do not penetrate the follicles.

Now we move on to the excruciating, but still an economical way of chest hair removal. Yes, you have guessed it-waxing! This is painful, if people would tell you that shaving your chest area is only slightly painful, think again. They are either lying or they've had topical anaesthesia rubbed all over the area prior to having the procedure. On the lighter side, the great thing about waxing is that it addresses the root of the problem. Although this method may be excruciating, follicles of the hair come out, and because of waxing unwanted hair do not grow back for a couple of weeks.

If you think that this is the only way for you to have a chest hair removal, think again. There is, however, a more effective and absolutely painless way. Nonetheless, it will cost you a lot. This effective chest hair removal is through laser treatment. With laser hair removal you can permanently say goodbye to your chest hair without the excruciating pain you get from waxing.

How to Get Rid of an Itchy Scalp

ByMark P Deschanel

A persistently itchy scalp can really help damage your self esteem. You very well can't keep scratching your head in an important job interview, or scatter dead skin flakes all over a dinner party. So, what can you do to avoid getting into uncomfortable and embarrassing situations like these? Thankfully, there are lots of ways you can easily get rid of that nasty head itch.

The first step in solving any problem lies in identifying the source of that problem. In this case, you need to find out what is causing that itch on your head. There are plenty of possible reasons why your scalp is always so itchy. Here is a list of some of the most common causes of an itchy scalp:

Itchy Scalp Causes

Dandruff - The most common cause of itchy scalp and usually results in flaking.

Allergic Contact Dermatitis - Caused by developing an allergy to hair products.

Folliculitis - Inflammation of hair follicles and can occur anywhere on the body.

Psoriasis - A common systemic skin condition that causes redness and irritation.

Head Lice - Small, blood-sucking insects that infest the scalp.

Once you've identified what's making your head itch, you can start on these treatments that can help relieve or even get rid of the problem entirely.

Getting Rid of The Problem

Dandruff - This all comes down to proper hygiene and hair care. The right shampoo can keep dandruff at bay. If your old shampoo didn't work, try switching to a different kind. Also remember that sweat helps the growth of dandruff, so make sure shower after every workout.

Allergic Contact Dermatitis - Simply avoiding the allergen can get rid of the problem completely, so as long as you know what's triggering the allergic reaction, you can just avoid using products that have it.

Folliculitis - A shampoo with salicylic acid will help alleviate the itchiness. Antibacterial cleansing products with tea tree oil can also help remove excess oil and bacteria.

Psoriasis - There are treatments that can greatly help relieve the itchiness caused by psoriasis. Turmeric, neem oil, lavender, and eucalyptus oil have all been known to be effective cures for psoriasis.

Head Lice - Home remedies that contain oil, like olive oil and even mayonnaise can get rid of adult head lice while lemon juice can eliminate lice eggs.

As with all skin problems, it is important not to ignore any persistent head itch as it may well be a case of a skin infection that may develop into a painful and extended scalp problem.

Itchy Scalp Problems Causes,Symptoms and Treatment Advice for Adults,Kids and Babies. An itchy scalp is a common skin and beauty problem that every toddler, child and adult suffers from at least once in their life. Sometimes it can just be mild itch that goes away in a day or two, but it also be a more severe and painful itch that requires specialized treatment to cure.

The Most Effective Hair Loss Solution

Why do we go bald? Why am I going bald, when other men have full head of hair? Is there anything I can do about it? Do I lose hair because I didn't take good care of it?

I asked the same questions to myself. I, then started a research, and found out everything about male pattern baldness (Andogenic alopecia). Hair loss is genetic and hormonal. That means testosterone hormone turns to DHT by 5-alfa-reductase enzyme. If your hair follicles genetically sensitive to DHT, they start producing thinner and thinner hair, and eventually they stop producing. After they stop producing new hair, they stay alive for 2-4 years.

Androgenic Alopecia treatment attacks 2 aspects of the problem.

1. Block DHT

2. Stimulate new hair growth

Blocking DHT by DHT blockers will stop the hair loss process. Hair follicles will keep producing hair, and they will get thicker and stronger by time. There are herbal and chemical DHT blockers available on market. Finasteride (Propecia) is the only FDA approved drug for hair loss. It is a prescription medicine, and has side effects. The most famous herbal DHT blocker is Saw Palmetto, ancan be found in numerous hair loss product. Saw Palmetto is safer and cheaper than Finasteride, but also less effective.

New hair growth is also important, because you want to get the hair you lost back. The only FDA approved hair growth treatment is Minoxidil (Rogaine). With continuous use, you will see hair growth in 3-6 months.

There are also new experimental products, but I won't name any, because they are not proven to work yet and we don't know any possible side effects.
There are also some natural ways to grow hair with various herbal treatments.

You should set your expectations right. If you stick to the treatment, you will start seeing results in 3-6 months. The earlier you start the treatment the better results you will get. If you lost your hair 10 years ago, and starting treatment now, chances are you won't get satisfactory results. However if you recently started noticing hair loss and start the treatment now, you will have no hair loss problems. The best way to set expectations are, look at your pictures from 4 years ago. Having that much hair in a year should be your expectation.

Noticing a problem about yourself and trying to fix it is great, but you shouldn't be upset about your look. You can fix hair loss easier than fixing self esteem issues.

Can Hair Tonics Treat Hair Loss and Thinning Hair?

A few decades ago, hair tonics were very popular in styling hair but they have been replaced by products such as gel, serums and mousse. They are scantily available at some salons and drug stores, for the die-hard fans. These days, hair tonics have been made so that they perform more functions than giving hair a shiny appearance and holding it in place. Modern day tonics contain ingredients that combat hair loss and thinning.

The hair is the crowning beauty of a woman. Unfortunately this beauty may fall or thin due to several factors like stress, pregnancy, medication, diet deficiencies, strain on the follicles due to tight hairstyles and fatigue. Loss of hair can affect a woman in many different ways. That is why solutions to thinning and losing hair are being sought daily.

It is important to understand the reason hair is falling out or becoming thin. Hair loss caused by stress, medication, pregnancy, illness, and diet deficiencies usually stops once the pregnancy, stress etc is over. Eating a healthy diet rich in protein usually restores hair to its original condition in a few weeks. If the cause of thinning is due to tight hairstyles then finding a new way to style the hair will reduce the strain on hair follicles and allow them to recover.

Hair tonics strengthen weak hair and in so doing makes it more resilient and less likely to break. They can also contain vital ingredients to boost hair growth by reviving slugging follicles. Some hair tonics that are believed to reduce hair loss and stop thinning are:

Rene Furterer RF80 - this is a patented plant based formula that is very effective for treating thinning and weak hair. It is enriched with plant peptides and vitamins which restore the scalp's nutrition to give hair more body and shine. RF80 should be used once a week for three months. After the scalp has been cleaned, apply it evenly onto each part. Massage the scalp to aid penetration and blood circulation. A test was carried out on women using this product and the results were overwhelming. In three months, 78% reported that their hair had been strengthened.

Plantur 39 caffeine tonic is a leave-in tonic designed to treat hair loss in women. Its main target is women who have reached their menopause. It contains caffeine derived from plant based sources which stimulates hair follicles to increase the rate at which hair is growing. As hormones are responsible for the menopause, Plantur 39 caffeine also offers hormonal balance to the hair and scalp. This hair tonic is so mild it can be used as an everyday treatment. In addition to treating hair loss and thinning, it also treats other scalp problems like oily scalp and itching and is safe for use by men and women with male or female pattern balding.

For maximum benefits from hair tonics, apply to a clean scalp and use them as directed by the manufacturer. Always massage the tonic into the scalp. Massaging the scalp helps to evenly distribute the tonic to the entire scalp while stimulating blood circulation. Do not be tempted to apply too much tonic as it will leave your hair greasy, and mess your clothing and bedding.

Both Rene Furterer RF80 tonic and Plantur 39 Caffeine tonic are best applied as part of an overall strategy to combat thinning hair or hair loss. For women in the menopause or suffering from other hormone related hair loss like female patter balding, the manufacturer recommends using the Plantur 39 Caffeine shampoo regularly for a more effective treatment. Caffeine counteracts the effects of testosterone on hair follicles and is used in hair loss shampoos targeted at men with male pattern baldness.

Rene Furterer RF80 is more suitable for strengthening weak, thinning hair. It is designed to be used once a week for twelve weeks. Each dose to be massaged into the scalp comes in a phial so there is no risk of using too much. It is best applied after using the Rene Furterer Follicle Stimulating shampoo which contains micro beads to gently remove dead cells on the scalp, unclogging follicles in preparation for the application of the tonic.

Finding Cheap Wigs

ByR. Groves

With several consumers on the search for great products at great prices, we keep getting the question, "Where do I find great wigs at cheaper prices?". Well, we did our research and were able to find out great news for our loyal readers.

The best place to find cheaper priced wigs is to look for sites that offer clearance or closeout wigs. These are generally wigs that are in perfect and brand new condition however they are either over stocked, the manufacturer will no longer be offering the item and wants to get rid of their stock at great prices or, sometimes, the manufacturer simply wants to clear out older product to make room for newer product lines. Either way, regardless of the reason, this results in amazingly low prices.

Closeout or clearance wigs are generally only available in limited colors so if you like to explore wearing different colors, styles and lengths, the clearance section will be the perfect opportunity for you to score deals all year round. If you only prefer specific colors, be sure to shop quickly because once specific colors are gone, they are generally gone forever.

In order to learn about these closeout or clearance sales right away, be sure you add your email address to the site's mailing list. This way, you will be the first to know of all sales and discounts, including exclusive deals that are only offered to those on the mailing list.

When placing your order for a closeout wig, be sure to always include alternate color options. By the time your order is being processed, your color could be sold out. In order to have your order promptly processed, if you include at least two alternate color choices, it will help the warehouse staff to quickly get your order shipped. If you prefer to only get a specific color, be sure to mention this so that in case your item it out of stock already, your order can be promptly cancelled and refunded.

Save even more by planning ahead! If you wear darker shades in the winter and lighter shades in the summer, buy early! If they have a great wig in a darker shade and it is now spring, buy it now and save it for the winter. It will be cheaper to shop this way than to pay full price for another wig when you actually plan to wear it.

6 Facts About Hair Removal Sprays

ByManisha Kumar

Hair removal sprays have been in use to remove unwanted body hair since more than a decade. Usually, they work along with other traditional methods that yank the hair right from the roots, by reducing the hair texture and then removing it entirely. This method is inexpensive when compared with other removal methods.

Pros
These sprays remove hair permanently. They are time-saving.They save energy too as compared to waxing and other cosmetic removal methods. They are easily available over the counter and on doctor's prescriptions.

Types of hair removal sprays

A very popular kind of spray is the inhibitor. This means they prevent the hair from growing back at its regular pace, and the texture of the new hair is finer. The sprays work to first reduce the amount of hair both in volume and texture and then, over time, stop hair growth completely. These products work well as adjuncts to shaving or waxing.

How to use these sprays

After your chosen method of hair removal, such as waxing or shaving, apply the spray directly on the specific skin area. Let the spray settle for a bit and then wash it away with the hair. Repeat the process every day for a few months to see perfect results. After several such sessions, hair will begin to recede and stop. Once hair growth in that area stops completely, you can stop using your spray. For permanent hair loss, you might have to undergo about 15 sessions but it is entirely easy to use.

Cost of hair removal sprays

Sprays are cheaper than the cost of waxing, electrolysis and laser hair removal, so anyone would opt for it. Plus, you don't get razor bumps. On the other hand, electrolysis, which is said to give permanent hair loss, is time-consuming, expensive and painful since it targets hair follicles one by one.

Shaving

If you use the hair removal sprays after shaving, it will reduce your hair growth and lengthen the interval between shavings, but will not give your permanent hair loss.

Side effects of hair removal sprays

Although there are hardly ever any side-effects from using these sprays, you could encounter some problems with your product. It is common to experience acne and skin irritation in the area where you applied the spray. If you too experience either or both of these side-effects, stop using the product and seek your doctor's advice.

What Does Coconut Oil Have That Gives Your Hair Instant Volume and Shine?

Females who want to achieve that natural volume and shine to their hair I recommend using coconut oil as hair treatment. Men who are going bald and aim to reduce their baldness the healthy way, I also recommend using coconut oil as hair treatment.

Have you ever noticed why Asians and Islanders have thicker and shinier hair? It just looks healthy in every way. Well it's because they use oil from coconut as a daily treatment on their hair.

Healthy hair that consists of volume, shine, no dandruff and a clean scalp is a combination of genes, diet and hair treatment.

The one thing we cannot control in any way is a person's gene, but we can control our diet and hair treatment.

Eat plenty of vegetables and nuts that provide the protein and nutrients needed for healthy hair.

There are products out there that harm hair and strip away the protein, nutrients and health. Be careful when applying certain products like hair spray, gel, wax and shampoos as these are known to strip away the essential proteins and nutrients.

Here are two indicators you can use to determine how damaging a product is to your hair:

1) When having a shower, notice if the hair product you applied (hair spray, gel or wax) is hard to wash off. If it is hard to wash off, then it is most likely damaging your hair and you better use another easier-to-wash product.

2) Also, notice if your hair starts falling off or breaking off during a shower or after the shower. This is another indicator your hair is not in good health from the current products you are using. You will need to restore the health and vitality immediately. One of the best treatments to restore health and vitality is coconut oil.

How you treat your hair also does further damage to it. Whenever you are scrubbing your hair too hard the individual strands are being broken off. Instead, it is a good idea to be gentler when using your hands to wash off the shampoo and conditioner.

If you towel dry your hair, make sure you are not applying too much pressure on your hair. Applying hard pressure to pat dry your hair pulls your hair out very easily.

A better solution is to gently pat dry your hair as much as you can and let the air dry out the remaining water. Of course remember that during winter having wet hair can lead to you being sick so it is best not to dry your hair naturally in those moments. Instead, use a blow drier but set it to a softer blow. It is also advisable you don't have the blow drier so close to your scalp.

If you have dry, damaged hair use coconut oil for hair restoration as it provides the essential oils that will restore shine, moisture, protein and vitality.

Coconut oil contains lauric acid, capric acid and vitamin E that feeds into your hair and provides you the volume, shine and clean scalp. It is also great for eliminating dandruff.

The other benefit it provides is that it stimulates growth for baldness; it strengthens each strand and enhances hair roots. Using it is very inexpensive and one of the most effective treatment products out there that nature provides.

You will notice your hair will increase in volume and shine and it will eliminate dandruff and leave it looking healthy in every way.

Advanced Methods for Dealing With Male Pattern Baldness

ByAlex Osborne

The gradual onset of baldness is one of the most common occurrences in men and a normal part of the ageing process. For some men, baldness is not a big issue and no treatment is needed. However the opposite can occur when the individual finds it embarrassing and even psychologically harmful. A lot of men who are losing hair or are left with a band of hair around the sides and back feel compelled to shave it all off and adopt the bald look. Others will seek solutions to their hair loss and here are 4 treatments that are the most popular at the moment.

Oral Treatments

Preventing baldness from the root source requires a suppression of DHT. Propecia is a daily pill that's clinically proven to prevent the formation of DHT without affecting testosterone levels. The hair follicles can then effectively get back to business as usual without their normal life cycle being hindered genetically.

Topical Solutions

Propecia can sometimes generate new hair growth but the most effective treatment for this purpose is Minoxidil. It's a vasodilator which means it stimulates blood flow to the follicles, relaxes the tissues surrounding the follicle, opens up potassium channels and allows the deliverance of essential nutrients to the follicles to encourage continued growth.

Hair Transplants

Male Pattern (Genetic) Hair Loss only affects the top and front of a person's scalp. This is because it's only the follicles in this area that contain receptors sensitive to the hormone that causes hair loss. If hair is taken from the back or even from the side of the scalp (areas where the hairs are not sensitive to genetic hair loss), and transplanted to the top or front, the hair usually continues to grow and produces hair for life.

Transplant techniques have come a long way in the past two decades. The old punch graft technique became obsolete and is replaced by 'mini' and 'micro' graft transplantation. While the old punch graft technique often created an unnatural, 'doll hair' look, modern hair transplant techniques can create a perfectly natural appearance. Today's 'mini' and 'micro' graft technique allows single hairs or a natural group of 2 or 3 hairs to be re-planted in the direction of the individual's natural growth pattern.

Laser Therapy

These days surgical hair replacement is not the only solution available for thinning hair. Choosing the right combination of medically proven treatments such as Laser Therapy can not only prevent further hair loss, but regrow hair for many men and women who have experienced thinning. Results can frequently be experienced from the use of the right combination of treatments for your individual pattern and stage of hair loss. Results can be as good as, if not better than a transplant without the need for surgery.

Hair replacement

Nowadays people use the terms hair replacement and hair systems interchangeably to refer to the same non surgical restoration procedure where human or synthetic hair is added to a thin base or foundation which in turn is attached to the scalp by a variety of methods

A hair system may be preferable to transplants because it is a non surgical option for hair loss. Nowadays, hair systems can look extremely natural and virtually undetectable by sight. Hair systems are versatile and can work very well for almost anyone with hair loss. If done properly, you can have a gorgeous and naturally looking head of hair in relatively little time and style anyway you prefer. It is no longer true that hair systems are obvious to others unlike days gone by. In general, people wearing hair systems may engage in almost all activities like they normally do with their own hair.

As you can see going bald these days no longer means you have to accept the situation and go without a healthy head of hair. Treatments have come long way and more importantly are giving results that have never been seen before so if you refuse to go bald take a look at one of the options above and see if it is for you.

Hair Falling Out

Looking for ideas on natural hair regrowth treatment? Then look no further as this article will provide you with as many possible solutions that you will be able to use in the aims of preventing hair loss. There are actually a lot of safe and effective natural methods that you can try in order to reverse hair loss.

Here are some of them:

Eat your way to better hair:
Hard to believe isn't it? To think that what you're actually eating can affect your hair in so many ways, positively and negatively. Want to slow down the process of hair loss and get your hair back to the healthy original state you always remembered it in? Then you might want to start transitioning over to a low fat high fiber diet. Aside from this, you'll also want to concentrate on foods that contain biotins, which play an essential role in maintaining healthy hair. Fish, cooked eggs, whole milk, and various nuts and fruits - all of these are good sources of biotins so it's best that you take note of them.

Supplements:
The fact that you are experiencing hair loss is a surefire indication that something is amiss in the nutrition department. It's actually okay if you take supplements in pill form; just remember though, that your body may only be able to absorb a small percentage of what you ingest, and will depend on the condition of your digestive system and body system as well.

Drink plenty of water:
It's not only that gets thirsty, as even your hair requires the moisture that water provides. Dehydration can lead to symptoms like constipation, eczema, thick dandruff, wrinkly skin, foul breath and hair loss. An easy way to quickly replenish and establish enough water in your body is to routinely drink at least 8 ounces of water immediately after you urinate.

Ginseng: Ginseng is an ancient herbal remedy used by many to restore hormonal function and balance - a detail you might want to pay closer attention to especially when the hair loss problem you are is caused by hormonal imbalance.

Nettle: Is another rich source of silica and is a great conditioner for your nail, having the very same effect as equisetum. These products can be readily found in health foods stores and have also been guaranteed for safety and effectiveness.

Eat Biotin rich foods:
Biotin is a B vitamin that's needs needed by the body to form fatty acids and glucose, which are essential for the production of energy and preventing various disorders, including hair loss. It also helps with metabolizing carbohydrates, fats and proteins. The good news is that you really don't have to search very far to get your daily dose of biotins as they are found naturally in food. Good dietary sources of biotins include; brewer's yeast, egg yolk, sardines, legumes, mushrooms, salmon, carrots.

Natural hair regrowth treatments in the form of herbal shampoos, gels, creams or lotions are also available. If you are however looking for a definitive guide on the products that will be available, one useful source you can use will be found at Site, so be sure to check it out.

Tips for Improving the Health of Your Hair

Healthy hair is a prerequisite to stunning, lustrous hair. You could fix unhealthy hair, but it takes time. Damage can't actually be reversed, but the conditions leading to the damage can be remedied, creating healthy new growth.

Your hair is a lot more than simply one of your biggest aesthetic assets. Your hair serves as a reflection of just how healthy you are physically. That is why you need to make sure your hair is healthy. If your diet leaves a lot to be desired, this is mirrored in your hair. It needs exactly the same basic nutritional foundation (a healthy diet, vitamins, minerals and plentiful liquids) as the rest of your body. As an example, you can keep your hair healthy if you've got a high protein diet. There are many other things you can do to ensure the overall health of your hair.

The health of your hair is very closely related to the health of your scalp. Your scalp gives pre-existing hair the natural moisture it needs, and also the proper structure for healthy growth. As compared to the other parts of your body, the head has very little blood flow. Massage and using herbs like gingko biloba and skullcap can help improve circulation in the scalp. Oil treatments may directly provide moisture and nutrition to your hair, and also maintain scalp health. Before you step in the shower room, massage a little coconut, olive, or sesame oil in your hair and scalp. In order to give your hair and scalp an intensive treatment, massage in the oil at bedtime and leave it on overnight. Cover your head with a shower cap. Shampoo like how you ordinarily do the following morning. If you have a problem with frizzy hair, use sesame oil.

Giving hair what it needs is simply half of keeping its health. In addition, you need to take measures to avoid damaging hair. Your food consumption, once again, is important. You might be eating foods that contain the vital nutrients to promote healthy hair, but those foods may be packed with preservatives and other stuff. These things can make the skin, scalp, and hair dry. Then there are also medicines which have similar effects. If you often take any prescription or over the counter drugs, ask your doctor or pharmacist if it may be damaging your hair.

Your hair can also get damaged by exposure to heat, direct sunlight, and environmental toxins. Often, you can't prevent these things, but you can minimize the damage they cause. For instance, you can wear a sunhat if you're outside or you can remain indoors when weather conditions are terrible. Heat damage is mostly preventable because it's seldom brought on by environmental conditions. It could be that your curler/straightener works wonders or your hair dryer helps you save 30 minutes. Give some thought to your hair, however. It's not going to stay healthy if you constantly subject it to extreme and unnecessary heat. So think about ditching your hair styling tools.

There are lots of hair styling products you might want to bypass also. Hair dyes, for one, usually damage hair. If it's important that you color your hair though, use to a gentler hair coloring product. Watch out for the gels, mousses, and sprays you use. Many have chemicals that cause the hair to be dry. Search for products labeled natural, mild, or moisturizing. Also avoid maximum hold, rigid styling products because they will make your hair weak; seek out products labeled flexible instead.

Hair Re-Growth With Laser Treatment

ByRachel A Ace

Laser treatment comes as a good news for those who have waited long to get their hair back and restore their long blonde curls. This comes as a modern day weapon against hair loss and baldness.

There are several therapies available for hair restoration and treating baldness. However it depends on the individual if he would be able to respond to a treatment procedure. There are individuals who have waited for years to get their hair back but to no avail. A laser hair loss treatment is the best hair treatment available and has proven to be efficient and effective enough. Statistics say that more than 90% of people who go for laser hair growth are benefited from the procedures. The results mostly show between 6-7 weeks from undergoing the treatment.

Laser hair treatment procedures also act as a performance enhancer for hair restoration products. Oral hair restoration procedures work on the principle of providing sufficient amounts of necessary ingredients to the hair follicles. By undergoing laser hair growth treatment, blood flow to the follicles improves whereby DTH inhibitors are administered. Laser hair growth treatment also seems to work in good coordination with tropical stimulants administering Minoxidil.

An effective device comes in the form of hand held laser. This eliminates your need even to go to a laser hair growth clinic. These hand held devices can be used at home and normally a 15 minute program for 3 days a week is prescribed. Obviously going to a clinic produces better results but for a busy life and less requirement of a treatment, these are just the devices the world has been waiting for. Expenses too get reduced as once bought these deices continue to serve you and your whole family. These hand held lasers (by Lexington LLC) have been tested and approved to be effective and safe by the FDA. Thus this comes as the best non-surgical way to treat hair loss.

Though laser hair growth may claim to be effective but results show faster when this method is used along with other treatment methods like the tropical stimulants or other oral hair restoration products. However one needs to make sure weather he qualifies for a laser hair growth therapy. This is insured by a series of checks about the reason of the illness. Most of the times it's a medical condition like cancer, diabetes, or treatment using psychiatric drugs. Treatment should always be administered by an expert practitioner and who knows the medical condition you are going through if any.

A good look instills confidence and improves your quality of life. If a laser surgery can amend your life, there is no reason that you should say no to it. Live well.

Hair Loss Cure: It's Easier and Cheaper Than You Think

I have been, like you, always on the look out for the best product to stop my hair loss and help restore the fantastic head of hair I used to have and was always longing for.

I started with all sorts of products, from ineffective supplements to ineffective scalp lotions. I have spent a fortune on mildly effective hair falling treatment but the very modest improvement, the prohibitive costs and the side effects never made it worth while. So, I kept looking.

I even stopped any treatment for a few years, luckily keeping my hair loss at bay thanks to an excellent homeopath who understood my 'body' and my scalp and prescribed a very effective homeopathic treatment for a series of problems I was having, including my hair thinning. But, years later, it started all over again and, this time, I was looking for an even easier way to treat my hair loss.

I therefore resumed my search hoping that, by now, there'd be more effective over the counter solutions I could just buy off any shelf. Since my hair falling has always been DHT-related (DHT is a hormone which, in excess or on particularly susceptible hair follicles, causes hair loss and eventually baldness), my search has been focused on DHT blockers and hair growth stimulators. If you suffer from DHT-related baldness or loss of hair, which is the most common form of hair reduction in men and women, you will know that there are a huge number of products claiming to stop the detrimental effects of DHT on your scalp: however, very few are still really effective. I will talk somewhere else about the ones which are not, but here I want to focus on what worked very well for me and I hope can work very well for you too, in a cheap, easy way: DHT-BLOCKING shampoos.

These shampoos were originally designed to combat stubborn forms of dandruff and some fungus infections of the skin which were also difficult to eliminate. In time, these shampoos showed great results in reducing hair thinning and indeed, in time, promoting hair re-growth. This is because the active ingredient, ketoconazole, somehow manages to have a profound effect on the scalp against the damaging DHT. You need to make sure you buy the highest available strength, namely 2%, and you need to apply this shampoo according to specific instructions to maximize its effectiveness: frequency is key and you need to wash your scalp with it (make sure it goes on your scalp rather than just on your hair) as often as you can, from every day to 3 times a week, depending on how serious your hair loss problem is. You also need to leave it 'working' on your scalp for about 5 minutes each time, before rinsing it off.

However, it's a shampoo and not some sticky, bothersome lotion you need to be careful with: a DHT-blocking shampoo is an easy and convenient way to 'wash' away DHT; if you do your research, you can buy it cheaply too.

A List of DHT-BLOCKING SHAMPOOS is on DHT BLOCKERS SHAMPOOS, which will also explain how to buy them cheaply.

Other DHT blockers are explained on DHT INHIBITORS AND BLOCKERS.

4 Natural Hair Regrowth Tips You Must Know

Does it seem like every day you are losing more and more hair? Here are 4 tips you need to know to stop your hair loss now

Before we get into tips that will help you with regrowth, it's important for you to understand why you may be losing your hair.

There are multiple reasons for hair loss; stress, disease, poor nutrition, and genetics-to name but a few. Each of your hairs grows out of a follicle; a structure at the base of the hair that holds it in place.

If there aren't enough nutrients or blood in the vessels to feed the hair, it will become weak, refuse to grow, or even start falling out.

Even if you have no idea where to start, as long as you are committed you can regrow your hair. Choosing natural ways to regrow your hair is a much better choice than injections, prescriptions, or surgery.

1. Herbs. Not all herbal remedies work for everyone, but there have been many who have been helped by them. Some popular herbs that are helpful in hair growth are Saw Palmetto, Dong Quai, Gingko Biloba, Horsetail, Stinging Nettle, and Panax Ginseng. Just be sure to follow the directions and take precautions.

2. Vitamins. Nutrition plays a major role in just about everything your body does, including hair growth. For hair to grow properly, it must be properly nourished. Vitamin E is important for blood circulation and stimulates hair growth. The B vitamin's 3, 5, 6, and 12 play an important role as well. Find a great multi-vitamin that includes these, or better yet take a pre-natal vitamin; they have higher doses of hair stimulating vitamins.

3. Foods and Remedies. Foods such as Apple Cider Vinegar, Green Tea, and different oils such as tea tree and olive have shown to help with hair growth. Hair growth shampoos are also another option. You must be patient as they do take time to work. You can put these directly on the scalp and you can take some of them internally; switching your coffee for green tea, using olive oil instead of vegetable oil, etc.

4. Products. There are many hair regrowth products on the market today. Whatever product you choose you must commit yourself to at least 6 months of persistent use before you may see results. Don't worry it will pay off! Some products that have shown to work well in hair regrowth are products that have a balance of vitamins, herbs, and remedies. They are best when they contain 2 things; one for the outside of your hair or head and one for taking internally. Some examples are; Procerin, Mira, Nioxin and many more.

Now that you have been well informed on why you may be losing your hair and what you can do to stop it, you are well on your way to reversing your hair loss and getting back that beautiful head of hair.

Can You Really Grow Your Own Hair Back When You're Going Bald?

How to Repair Damaged Hair Naturally

ByNoland Clark

Your obsession with hairstyles can damage your hair if you do not take proper care of your delicate tresses. Overuse of hair colors, blow dryers, straighteners or curling irons removes the natural oil and damages the hair follicle and ruff shaft. And when you stand in front of a mirror, you become absolutely distraught to see the frizzy, entangled mass of hair.

However, regardless of the severity of the hair damage, it is not too difficult to repair the damaged hair. There are several options for restoring the natural appearance of your tresses.

Hot oil treatment

Hot oil treatment is the most effective and quickest fix for damaged hair. You can pick up a hair oil of a reputed brand from your neighborhood store or you can warm olive, coconut or almond oil and it use it for nourishing the hair. Apply a generous amount of oil to your scalp and hair shafts. Gently massage the scalp to boost blood circulation. This helps to increase secretion of natural oil. Leave the oil on your hair overnight, and in the morning wash your ruff with a mild shampoo. Remember to use a conditioner after rinsing your hair.

Use a hair pack

Your damaged mane can be healed with a suitable hair pack. The ingredients in the ruff packs nourish, soothe and lubricate the scalp and the ruff. You can pamper your damaged tresses with mayonnaise. Mashed banana, honey, egg yolk, avocado and yogurt are common components in recipes for treating damaged ruff. If overuse of ruff styling products had damaged the hair follicles, the irritated scalp can be soothed with aloe vera gel or vitamin E. Spread the ruff pack all over your hair and scalp, and after 15 or 20 minutes, rinse your hair thoroughly.

Herbal remedies for damaged hair

Hair growth will suffer if the ruff follicles are damaged by chemicals or heat. Herbal remedies are often effective in repairing the damaged hair follicles. Herbs such as sage, burdock, rosemary, nettle, peach leaf, Indian gooseberry, henna and curry leaves are widely recommended in folk medicines for fixing hair problems. Prepare a decoction by boiling the herbs in coconut or olive oil, and apply it to the scalp daily.

Nutrition

External application of hair care products is not sufficient for treating the damaged hair. To improve hair growth, the hair follicles need specific nutrients that can be provided through a healthy diet. To accelerate the hair repair process your diet should contain sufficient healthy proteins, vitamins A, C and E, biotin, choline, pantothenic acid, inositol, zinc and omega-3 fats.

Hair Transplants and Treatments

ByMeddie Righter

Hair transplants are becoming more and more common around the world as the procedure becomes more advanced and affordable.

It is not just celebrities who are turning to this kind of treatment as a solution to male pattern balding. Although there have been many people in the public eye recently that have spoken about their hair treatments.

This worldwide publicity about restorative hair treatments has helped to endorse these transplants as a legitimate and popular way to hide and even reverse hair loss. These procedures are also more affordable these days.

There are clinics opening all around the globe, which makes hair restoration more accessible to people from all cultures. Centres have opened across Europe, America and the Middle East.

The technology involved in hair transplants has also greatly developed. There are now treatments available for all stages and types of hair loss. Modern transplants are very effective and provide a permanent hair restoration solution.

Because hair transplants replace redundant hair follicles with follicles from the lower part of the head that is not affected by balding, this means that hair can re-grow in a natural looking way and last indefinitely.

The latest hair transplant technologies are called Follicular Unit Transplantations (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). This involves taking a strip of follicles or individual follicles and transplanting them into the part of the scalp where hair has been lost.

The FUT and FUE transplant techniques can even be combined if someone has more advanced hair loss, as this provides a more complete coverage solution.

As an alternative to hair transplants, there are other treatments available. Scalp pigmentation involves injecting special ink into the scalp, similar to tattooing, that mimics the look of natural shaved hair.

The other type of non drug hair treatment is low laser light therapy. This uses light lasers to stimulate the scalp, but it is a technique that is no longer commonly used.

In terms of medication there are lots of alternatives. Mesotherapy, which is a combination of vitamins and DHT blockers, can be injected into the scalp. It is a treatment that has been found to be effective at treating hair loss.

Minoxidil is another alternative treatment that can be used. It is a vasodilator that relaxes and smooths muscle cells in the blood vessels. Direct application to the scalp can stimulate hair growth. Finasteride is another medication that has been shown to help prevent hair loss.

Hair pieces are also available if you don't want to undergo transplants or take medication. Wigs are much more realistic and natural looking these days, providing an alternative way to hide hair loss.

So there are many hair treatment solutions available. It is no longer a problem that is hard to treat, as there are so many options to choose from.

Vinci Hair Clinic are specialists in providing effective hair loss treatments. They offer the latest FUT and FUE hair transplants as well as medication to treat male pattern balding. They also provide hair loss treatments for women including eyebrow and eyelash transplants. For more information visit http://vincihairclinic.com/

Hair Loss: Beating The Genetic Code

BySamuel J Reed

Hair loss affects roughly 35 million men and 21 million women in the United States alone. This affliction while not life threatening has a deep impact on one's self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-perception. Thinning hair can often invite cruel remarks even from family and friends. The prospect of losing your hair, particularly at a young age, can make people feel a sense of identity loss and often forces them into a state of concealing the issue anyway they can.

Hair loss seems to be happening at an earlier age than ever before. Even high school students are starting to develop problems with thinning hair. While genetics are considered to be the overriding factor in common forms of baldness, there are preventative steps one can take to fend off baldness before it begins. Taking these steps before or in the early stages of hair fall can help you avoid more difficult steps down the road. While reversing hair loss is possible throughout a variety of methods, the earlier you deal with the issue the faster it is resolved.

Know Your Family History

A long running misconception is that the trait for baldness is inherited from the mother's side. We now know that it is possible to inherit this trait from either or both sides. Take a look at your parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Your family member's hair holds the clues for where yours may be going. If there is a steady pattern of baldness in your family, this may be a problem you will face in your future. Occasionally, this trait skips a family member within a generation. This phenomenon could explain why you are losing your hair and your brother isn't.

Look For The Signs

If you think you're beginning to lose your hair, look for the tell-tale signs and confirm this is the case. Often hair will fall out for other reasons like stress and/or poor health. It's important to remember that non-balding people lose 50-100 hairs everyday. When you see extra hair accumulating in the shower drain, on your pillow, or in your hairbrush, this could indicate the early stages of hair loss. The best way to tell if you're experiencing serious hair fall is to self examine your hair with one or two mirrors. Look for uneven patterns of hair and/or a few hairs missing in obvious spots. Use a brush or comb to move hair aside for a closer inspection. If there is a serious problem, you'll know.

Relax

If you are beginning to lose your hair, you have found out at the most optimum time. At this point, you have identified the problem and are able to begin dealing with it. The sooner you identify hair fall the easier it is to reverse it. Even those with more serious hair fall have the opportunity to do something about it. If you are the former and are at the early stage, you have greatly shortened your ordeal.

Take Action

Many people, particularly men just accept hair loss. If your hair is important to you, you should not subscribe to this attitude. There are a variety of ways to reverse hair loss at many stages. Taking action is vital for those who want their hair back. A hair loss sufferer must be proactive about their dilemma and begin researching treatment options.

There are many methods whether they are clinical, surgical, or natural to treat hair loss. If you are an early stage sufferer, a shampoo formulated to remove DHT will definitely help you keep most of your hair. For someone who is not losing their hair, but genetically disposed to baldness, using a special shampoo could prevent baldness altogether.

Beating The Genetics Of Hair Loss

While many believe that if you're going to be bald, there is nothing that can be done about it, this simply is incorrect. Hair loss can be treated at any stage. If you think hair loss is in your future based on your family history, begin looking into options before the process begins. If the process has already begun, become proactive and take the steps to stop your hair loss and regrow the hair you have lost. When you feel nothing can be done to resolve your hair loss, remember that many times doctors have told patients that they will never walk again only to be proven wrong by strong-willed patients. People with a predisposition to weight problems have often been able to remain healthy and fit. While genetics are a factor in hair loss, being proactive can substantially lower the influence of these genetics.

Hair Replacement: 10 Top Tips for Hair Replacement Maintenance

1. Once your system is removed, spray some adhesive solvent directly on to the residue area on your head (no water at this stage).

2.While this gets to work in breaking down the residue on your head, you can remove any left over residue from the base of your system. To do this use plain cotton wool. Dab it directly onto the glue and use your thumbs to roll off the residue (this can be tricky especially on lace systems). The residue will stick to the cotton wool and allow you to roll it off.

3. Once the residue has been removed from the base, you can shampoo/conditioner your system.

4. Now wash your head with shampoo a few times, if any residue is stubborn and remains then towel dry your head and then spray some more glue solvent on the area and then repeat the process until it's all been removed. Thoroughly remove the solvent with shampoo when your finished.

5. Then cut your hair. If you are doing this yourself its best to use electric clippers. Once you have decided which grade to use graduate the blend by using either a 3 and 5 or a 5 and 7 grade. never use consecutive number grades like 3 and then 4.

6. Then using an eye liner pencil mark out a dotted line on your head all around the perimeter of your system, Once you are happy with the positioning, double check it. (best to use eye liner cause it wipes off easily after)

7. Triple check the position. (You get the idea) shave any excess fluff hair that grows under your system. This will ensure a nice smooth surface for the adhesive.

8. Apply a thin even layer of adhesive directly onto your SCALP, then wait for it to turn CLEAR AND TACKY.

9. Once its clear and tacky, apply a second layer (thin and even) basically the more layers you build up the longer the bond will last. However, no more than 3 layers though, 2 layers is best.

10. Once the second layer has become clear and tacky. The system is ready to be rolled on. You will need help with this. It's all about getting the front center point on your forehead correct first and then simply slowly roll back your system. If you have marked out the dotted lines accurately, your system should be in the right place...

Remember ask for help when you come to roll the base onto your head. Whoever helps you inform them that you do not need to stretch it tight. They just need to ensure that the base is not creasing or gaining air bubbles etc.

When you come to remove your system again in a few weeks, use a lace release spray to help remove it from your head.

I hope this helps, good luck, take your time and don't panic.

Do Hair Transplants Work?

Balding is one of the challenging things to cope up especially when it impairs your social life. That is why it is only understandable that we seek drastic measures in order to remedy this problem. One of the most effective methods to treat this problem is a hair transplant. And it has grown widely popular among those who we might consider to be "follicularly challenged." But does it really work? Is it a good option? And is there a criterion in which you should follow to be considered a good candidate for this procedure? These are usual questions that you are probably on, so let's tackle on them one by one.

Hair transplant is a surgical hair restoration procedure that requires an incision in order to remove a portion of the scalp, usually at the back of the head, to obtain the donor grafts. Because the balding areas are usually at the front of the scalp, the extracted grafts will find their new home in this part of the head.

The process of removing the individual hairs from the extracted portion of the scalp is very delicate and it requires careful precision by hair technicians. They use a high-powered microscope in to make this possible, and then they are prepared for implanting.

Hair implant surgery is an excellent hair restoration measure. However this should be considered to be a last option because of its invasive measure and the limited amount of donor grafts. With successful results you can have a natural-looking hair that will certainly restore your confidence. It will give an impression like you have never even have any hair problems at all!

Although it can be send you back a couple of thousand, and could only be limited for those who have the budge for it, it is considered to be an efficient option. But given that you find a credible and skilled surgeon to do it, because there are cases were revisions had to be done because of poor workmanship and outcome. That is why the factor of choosing a good surgeon is important to ensure the procedure's success.

Another factor that can make a hair transplant work is the type of patient. One should be of good healthy and has a good amount of healthy donor hairs, for hair implants to thrive. Age is also another consideration, since there are also individuals who have suffered from hair loss as early as their teenage years. This age group is not advised to undergo a hair transplant just yet because it is highly likely that this problem will either resolve or worsen as they reach their mid-twenties. By then the problem will stabilize and due action can be decided.

Hair surgery is a viable option for hair restoration just as long as the patient knows how to do proper after care. The delicate implants need constant care and tending throughout the recovery process, and this needs patience and discipline from the patient. He must make sure that he maintains a healthy environment for his new hair implants to thrive.

Hair transplantation really works, and many patients can attest that it does. It's simply a matter of becoming a healthy candidate for hair transplant and finding the right people to do the service.

Dr Tyng Tan is the Clinical Director of The Hair & Laser Clinic in Singapore, a clinic with special interest in Hair Transplants, Hair Regrowth and Medical Aesthetics. She is one of the few Medical Practitioners who are able to perform Hair Transplants using FUE Hair Transplant ( Follicular Unit Extraction) and FUT Hair transplant (Follicular Unit Transplant) techniques.
